Dr. Godwin Cheung

𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐠 received his 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 at the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚, where he was awarded the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 for graduating at the top of his class. He subsequently furthered his training by completing his 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 in 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 at 𝐌𝐜𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, where he served as chief resident in his final year.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐠 is trained to perform full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, including orthognathic surgery, management of complex facial trauma, jaw and facial reconstruction, cleft and craniofacial surgery, complex bone grafting procedures from the hip and skull, head and neck pathology, management of temporomandibular joint disorders, complex dental implant treatment, wisdom tooth extractions and dentoalveolar procedures, as well as the provision of sedation and anesthesia.

His private practice is based out of the 𝐎𝐌𝐒 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 in the Vancouver, Richmond, and Burnaby locations. He is also on staff at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver, while he is an emergency consultant at Peace Arch, Langley Memorial, and Surrey Memorial Hospitals.

Outside of clinical practice, he teaches undergraduate DMD, graduate periodontal, and graduate prosthodontic residents at UBC.
